Review

Historical fiction can be a minefield for any author. Do you include real people? How much of a liberty do you take with factual events? Do you want to entertain or educate? I can imagine Ray Celestin ran all these questions, and more, through his head during the writing process for his début novel. Unfortunately, I’m not sure he answered them satisfactorily.
